Jeremy Bogan accepts position at Salem Health

Contact: President Steve Thorsett

Mary Randers will serve as interim dean of admissions.

Dear Willamette Community,

I write to share the news that Jeremy Bogan has accepted a position across the street at Salem Health, as Business Relations Manager in the Information Services department. August 23rd will be his final day on campus.

Jeremy has been part of our admissions team since early 2016, and for nearly three years has been Vice President and Dean of Admissions. During a period of demographic and economic challenges, he has led the recruitment of strong, talented, and diverse classes. He has also built a terrific team of admissions professionals, and modernized the software systems that we use for managing communications with prospective students and their families.

We will miss his unfailing good cheer, his caring attention to students from before they apply until after they graduate, and his enthusiastic support of Bearcat athletic teams. We are glad he is not going far, and wish him well as he embarks on his new adventure.

I am happy to report that Mary Randers has agreed to serve as Interim Dean of Admissions. I have great confidence that she and the staff of admissions, together with VP of Marketing and Communications Tim Cobb and AVP for Admissions Marketing J.R. Tarabocchia and their teams, are well positioned to implement this year's marketing and enrollment strategies. We expect to launch a VP search early in the fall term; further details will be shared when available.
