Willamette Events Board is seeking staff and faculty volunteers to assist at their annual formal dinner and dance.
Date: Saturday, 2/29/20
Time: Shifts are about 2 hours each and are scheduled from 6 pm - midnight
Location: Salem Convention Center, 200 Commercial St. SE
Duties: Sign up for one (or more) shifts, that include
-Coat Check (assist with guest coat and back storage, tagging items, organizing checked items). This is a very busy shift and involves standing and lifting.
-Check-In (volunteers will be partnered with a WEB member - student - and check students in to the event). This is a mostly-seated position that involves reading, writing, and risk-management.
-21+ Lounge check-in (volunteers will check ID - passports or state-issued - for 21+ guests, apply wristbands). This is a standing position that involves risk management, reading, some writing, and attaching wristbands.
All volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend a volunteer training session. Sessions will be offered on 2/26 and 2/28 at 11 am in Autzen Conference Room (UC 3rd floor). Those who can't attend one of these sessions can meet with WEB's advisor, Emily Morris, via phone or in-person to discuss expectations and duties.
