Daily Update

Willamette University to stay home

COVID-19 Response Team

Good morning. The national and local response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve rapidly. Yesterday, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown used her emergency powers to issue Executive Order No. 20-12 which orders all Oregonians to stay home and save lives.

For the health, safety and welfare of all during the current state of emergency, Oregonians should, to the “maximum extent possible,” stay at their places of residence. The university’s leadership is adjusting its protocols and procedures to adhere to the changing laws and guidelines.

The full order is worth reading and contains far more information about businesses, restaurants, workspace restrictions, outdoor recreation, travel and other situations.
