What to do if you think you may have COVID-19
COVID-19 Response Team
Yesterday, the Oregon Health Authority announced the largest number of new cases of COVID-19 in the state. As testing becomes more available, it is likely that number will continue to increase even though our collective shelter-in-place efforts are helping to slow the rate of transmission.
If you feel the least bit sick, it is understandable that you might feel anxious or think you may have contracted the virus. If you have flu-like symptoms or have reason to think you might have COVID-19, OHA recommends you contact your healthcare provider before you visit them. This will help avoid exposing others at your provider’s facility. Your provider may decide to have you first tested for other illnesses, like the flu, based on your possible exposure history and any other symptoms you might have.
Best wishes, Bearcats!
