Commencement cancellation and future plans
COVID-19 Response Team
In his weekly “Words from Waller” address, President Steve Thorsett announced that May's Commencement has been cancelled. He pledged to graduating students that this is not how their Willamette stories will end.
The President's Office and campus leadership are planning a formal recognition of graduating students from all three colleges that will take place on May 17, albeit from afar. This will be followed by a proper and full celebration on campus as soon as it is safe and feasible to gather.
