Indigenous Peoples' Week: Day 5

Contact: Clifford Grace Steelman

To finish the week, learn about the water crisis at Warm Springs Reservation.

The Native and Indigenous Student Union thanks you all for joining us on the last day of this years Indigenous Peoples' Week!

Today we have compiled resources regarding the ongoing water crisis at the Warm Springs Reservation in central Oregon. The Warm Springs Reservation is about 150 miles west of Salem and 70 miles north of Bend. The Warm Springs community was impacted heavily by this past months wildland fires, in addition to the preexisting water shortage and the COVID-19 pandemic. Please take note of the action items located at the bottom of the page to see how you can support this nearby community.

We thank you again for celebrating and honoring Native and Indigenous peoples with us this week. We hope that your engagement with these materials has sparked a long lasting investment in and support of Native and Indigenous movements, peoples, and individuals. If you are looking to offer further support please reach out to

nap-info@willamette.edu.

Remember, supporting Native and Indigenous peoples does not end with this week, it begins.

Quyanaa - Thank you
