What is Language in Motion?
Language in Motion (LiM) is a volunteer program for study abroad returnees, international students or students with any cultural or language background or experience. These student volunteers are matched with teachers in the Salem-Keizer community to educate students about their language, share information about another country and carry out fun and engaging culture-related activities. Typically we would bring student volunteers into the classroom, however this year, we will be doing all of these presentations virtually via Zoom.
Benefits
Volunteering for LiM is a great way to process your international or cultural experiences, gain presentation and professional skills, interact with the local community and share knowledge of a different language or culture with elementary, middle and high school students.
