With the president's generous gift of additional winter-break time off and the university's desire to reduce spending, the Facilities Maintenance Team will be looking for more energy savings opportunities throughout campus during the break. This will include reducing temperatures, reducing building HVAC occupancy schedules and turning off unneeded equipment and lighting in all vacant buildings from Dec. 11 through Jan. 18. In addition, maintenance staff will be doing building sweeps before and during the break looking for additional opportunities. We need everyone's help with this effort so please, if you don't need it on, don't leave it on. Please contact Facilities at 503-370-6003 prior to the break with any specific needs you may require during winter break.
