Daily Update

Words from Waller

Office of the President

“We’ve weathered and witnessed a nation that isn’t broken but simply unfinished."

                                                                                        — Poet Amanda Gorman

In yesterday's "Words from Waller" address, President Steve Thorsett welcomed the Willamette community to the spring semester and recalled the challenges of 2020.

Reflecting upon the words Gorman spoke at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Thorsett called the Willamette community to recommit to its mission to "turn knowledge into action."
