Events and gathering limits continue after the quiet period

If you're hosting indoor or outdoor events on campus after the quiet period ends, student organizations, clubs and offices must adhere to these important event guidelines.

We know that many groups are beginning to plan their calendar of events and activities for this spring. An important detail to remember as you begin to plan events this spring is the gathering limit for groups both indoors and outdoors.

Due to Marion county's "extreme risk" status, in-person gatherings on campus are limited to 6 people total. This applies to both indoor and outdoor venues and must include any staff or event organizers that may be present in the total number of people attending.

We recommend organizing your events with a registration requirement or signup process to manage attendance. Implementing remote or virtual events is still highly encouraged.

We will update the community if this state guideline changes in any way.
