Join today's student-led discussion about BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ scholarship and a faculty-led report on faculty achievement and mentorship of students.

Join students Angel Espinoza Robles and Montana Hunter for a student-led discussion on diversifying scholarship. Their presentation will explore the intersection of scholarly work and the opportunities and challenges for the scholarly/intellectual/creative lives of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ students. The panel will discuss topics of diversity, inequality, bias, and inclusivity with a goal of highlighting research on marginalized topics and promotion of diversity.

Immediately following, Professors David Craig and Juwen Zhang will present a report about student-faculty research at Willamette. They will explore faculty achievements and how faculty expertise informs and supports the mentoring of student work.
