WUPILP announces 2021 summer fellowship recipients

Contact: Cindy Cromwell

WUPILP has provided four law students with fellowships for public-interest internships.

The Willamette University Public Interest Law Project (WUPILP) provides summer fellowships to law students embarking on public-interest internships throughout our region.

The fellowships facilitate WUPILP's mission to educate law students about inequities in the legal system and encourage them to dedicate their professional lives to the development of a more just society.

Thanks to community support and our annual Bid for Justice Auction, WUPILP has provided four law students with fellowships this summer to work in the public service fields of disability rights, public defense, immigration, and public benefits issues for low-income Oregonians.

Congratulations to this year's recipients: Samantha Baker JD'23, Jessica Charles JD'22, Jon Kirk JD'23 and Dina Lovenstein JD'22.
