This year's MLK Celebration Book Group, "College Belonging: How First Year and First-Generation Students Navigate Campus Life," will meet three times virtually — 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 30 — and once in-person on Friday, Jan. 22 at 12-3 p.m. in Montag Den at the Salem campus.
Join Kelvin Clark, senior director of student success, in a campuswide discussion on how we can support first generation college students as they learn to navigate the academic, social and institutional dynamics of our campuses.
Discussions will revolve around the strategies offered in the book and how to create a plan to implement ideas in your organizations and departments.
