Taking into consideration the needs of various student constituencies, the Office of the Chaplains accredits a number of externally supported and student-founded religious organizations, currently including the following groups.
These organizations welcome all Willamette students to their fellowships regardless of their religious background. Additionally, if students would like to create new religious or spiritual organizations, the Office of the Chaplains is available to support such efforts.

1. Campus Ambassadors

Campus Ambassadors exist to build diverse communities through which students' lives are transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. We seek to accomplish this by meeting as a community for weekly Bible study, prayer, and encouragement. We also hold a weekly meeting for anyone interested in being trained to minister to their peers and have occasional social events, retreats, and special outreach events on campus and in the community.
2. InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (WUIV)

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a student-led organization that is working with Jesus to cause a revolution through which all students will experience the kingdom of God, be transformed by His love and be sent out to change the world. Students lead small group Bible studies and prayer meetings in order to know Jesus personally.
3. Jewish Student Union

The JSU provides a community through which Jewish students may come together to celebrate holidays (Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, Passover and Yom HaSho'ah) and connect with other Jewish students. JSU members work together to provide transportation to the local temple for regular services and larger celebrations of all major holidays. We also provide non-Jewish students the opportunity to explore Judaism by welcoming them at all events including Holiday observances and occasional Shabbat
4. Newman Club

The Newman Club exists to bring Catholic fellowship to all students, faculty, and staff on the Willamette University campus through service and faith formation. The group meets weekly, prays the Rosary, organizes service projects, and holds spiritual retreats throughout the year.
5. Buddhist Student Association

The Buddhist Student Association provides Buddhist fellowship to all students, faculty and staff at Willamette University. The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings in the University Center 2nd floor (room 217) and takes regular trips to Wat Buddha Temple in Turner, OR. Spiritual retreats and service projects are also apart of activities held by BSA through out the academic year.
6. Muslim Student Association

The Muslim Student Association is a group on campus where Muslim identifying students, faculty and staff can come together in community. Meetings are every other Thursday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the E & E.
