While the Layout and the Preview panes display the page rendered by Cascade Server, the Live pane displays the page retrieved from the web server to which the page is published.
The Live view is very useful because it is an easy way to check:
- If the page was published successfully
- How the page looks in a browser window
- If links in the page are working correctly
- If server-side scripting executes correctly (e.g., PHP code)
A URL (link) is also provided on the Live view, so the page can be easily opened in a separate browser tab or window.
