On October 23, 2015 the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) issued a policy regarding the use of serogroup B meningococcal (MenB) vaccine. It indicates that a MenB vaccine may be administered to adolescents aged 16-23 to provide short term protection against most strains of serogroup B meningococcal disease.

We do not carry the MenB vaccines (most commonly Bexsero or Trumenba).
However, several pharmacies close to campus have it available, or can order it. Importantly, these vaccines are billed as a prescription, and insurance coverage varies significantly by plan. Please contact your insurance provider for more information regarding coverage.
