Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to evaluate and make changes to your Willamette University benefit elections including your health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Open enrollment starts Monday, February 13, 2023, and all changes must be submitted by 5pm, Friday, Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Benefits will be effective April 1, 2023. Remember, you may elect to make changes to your retirement plans as well as the commuter spending account outside of the open enrollment period (to do this, log into Workday and select the Benefits tile).

Summary of Changes to 2023 Benefit Plans
  • Medical premiums are increasing for most employees by 4.16%
  • We will be transitioning away from LifeMap dental and joining a plan through The Standard, which will provide the same level of coverage at a lower cost to you (if currently enrolled in LifeMap, you will be assigned the same coverage level with The Standard)
  • Premiums for dental through Kaiser are not increasing
