While a student; Rosie volunteered with CAUSA, the Asian Pacific Network of Oregon, and Micronesian Islander Community. Moved by her experience in Manila listening to Filipinos' experiences of abuse and dehumanization; she aspires to do immigrant justice work in the near. Rosie's poems reflect her experiences as a Filipina American woman in the intersections of privilege and oppression and balancing these tensions in the struggle for justice.
