Willamette University uses the following endorsements for Standard Mail. You must have the return address on the front of the mail piece if you use an endorsement.
Return Service Requested
The mail piece is returned to the department with the new address or reason for non-delivery and charged 1st class postage. This is ideal for lightweight pieces.
Change Service Requested
The mail piece is disposed of and a separate notice with the new address or reason for non-delivery is sent to the department and charged 50 cents per piece. This is ideal for heavy pieces like magazines as the fee is only 50 cents per address correction. However, you do not get your mail piece back.
No Endorsement
No address correction sent; mail piece disposed of by the USPS.
The endorsement must be in 8-point type with a ½ inch clear zone around all sides. It may be placed only in one of the four locations found below.
