Begin your college experience with the Ohana program. Join and meet new classmates and learn about important resources needed for success with a focus on transitional needs for students of color and first-generation students.
You will have an opportunity to hear and interact with current students who have successfully navigated the campus community. The leaders will share their own personal insights into campus resources; the academic life, campus and residence hall life; transition to college, as well as their own racial experience at WU.
"I can't express enough how valuable the Ohana program is. Through Ohana, I met incredible students, professors, and staff who became my mentors and friends. I was even fortunate enough to meet my best friend in Ohana! My Ohana leaders taught me so much, from sharing on-campus resources to sharing their wisdom on navigating Willamette as a first-generation student of color. Most importantly, Ohana helped me build a community on campus that made me feel like I belonged at WU. My Ohana family was a crucial support system for me during my time at Willamette. It is hands down the best part of my experience at WU."
