I used to play water polo! Doing the backpacking jumpstart program was a game changer for my transition to college. I loved getting to know my leaders and meeting new people in my grade level and that's the kind of environment I want to foster for future students.

Over the summer I’m working as a rock climbing guide in Alaska! My Steppin Out experience helped me so much with my transition to college, and I wanted to help provide that for other students. It’s also just a lot of fun to explore Oregon!

I am incredible at taking naps. I will fall asleep anytime, anywhere, and waking me up from a nap is a position you never want to find yourself in. I chose to become a Steppin Out leader because I believe that this program has the ability to have long-lasting and profound impacts on its participants. I love being involved in the Outdoor Program because it is fun, rewarding, and challenging.
