Dr. Domanic Thomas began working at Willamette University in 2015 and currently serves as dean of students. He collaborates with students, faculty and staff to help create a safe and welcoming campus where students can thrive through healthy learning environments.
Domanic has the pleasure of working with a diverse portfolio of areas within the Division of Student Affairs that are dedicated to providing a meaningful, safe, and student experience from orientation through graduation. The areas include our Bishop Wellness Center, Student Activities, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Confidential Advocacy, Conduct and Community Standards, Coordinating our Campus Assessment, Response, and Education (CARE) team, and parent relations.
His professional experiences span nearly two decades of being committed to helping students have a successful college experience. He began his career as an admissions counselor followed by progressive leadership roles in student affairs at several universities. Before joining Willamette, he served as assistant dean of students at Portland State University.
Domanic earned a bachelor's degree in general science and education at Oregon State University, a master's in education at the University of Arizona, and a doctorate in education leadership at Portland State University.
