Biography
I have been interested in Japan for as long as I can remember. As a result, I began teaching myself Japanese my freshman year of high school. Watching myself improve month after month was quite a rewarding and empowering experience. My Japanese came in handy when I went to Japan for the first time in the summer of 2015. That trip was a life-changing experience and it was then that I decided I would dedicate my time to mastering the language. I continued to go to Japan every summer and after each trip I could see that I was improving immensely. My continuous effort over the past 5 years has paid-off and now I am at a place where I speak more Japanese than English. Next year, I plan to participate in JSP's J-Track and passing the JLPT N1. After graduating from Willamette I plan to live and work in Japan.
