WELCOME TO PATRICIA VARAS' WEB PAGE

Patricia Varas was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and has traveled extensively in South & Central America and the Caribbean. She received her PhD in Latin American Literature from the University of Toronto and has taught in several universities in Canada. Currently she is Professor in the Spanish Department and Latin American Studies Program at Willamette University. Her research is mainly interdisciplinary in the fields of Spanish American women writers, modernity, Latin American narrative and film studies.
