Professor Suresht R. Bald joined Willamette University in January 1982. She received her BA (Honors) and MA degrees in History from Miranda House, Delhi University, Delhi, India, and PhD in Government from Harvard University. She is a recipient of the Burlington Northern award in teaching excellence and scholarship, Pew Fellowship in teaching of International Affairs, and Oregon Council of Humanities research awards. In addition to teaching courses in Comparative Politics and International Relations Professor Bald teaches courses in the Programs for Women's Studies and International Studies. She serves as advisor to Willamette' University's very active MUN . She was a visiting Professor in the Women's Studies doctoral program at Josai International University, Japan in 1998-1999.
