Student Life

As a student at Willamette, you'll never have a shortage of things to do.

You can study, play, network and take part in a huge variety of activities. You can join an existing group, or even start your own on-campus endeavor.

Our Student Life team serves as your go-to resource to help ensure that your time here is a rich, healthy, safe and memorable one. Whether it’s athletics, joining a club or taking part in a community project, we’re here to guide and support you.

In addition, we offer health, safety, career and multicultural services.

Organizations that fit you

We have more than 100 student organizations to help you make the most of your college experience, or it's easy to start your own. Just ask the students who created Wulapalooza or revived the rugby team.

At Willamette we develop leaders. Governing bodies such as Associated Students of Willamette University give students a chance to play a major role in shaping campus life. Other organizations, from our Greek organizations to Community Mentors (CMs), provide additional opportunities to lead and bond with fellow students.

Live the Willamette motto

At Willamette, we even integrate community outreach into our curriculum. Through our Community Service Learning program, students reach out to the Salem community and beyond. It’s a wonderful way to have an impact and learn new skills at the same time.

There's a reason Willamette is on the honor role for community service and impact by the President of the United States — our students contribute more than 25,000 volunteer hours annually, reflecting the Willamette motto, “Not unto ourselves alone are we born.”
