First off, a big Bearcat THANK YOU to those who participated in Alumni Weekend 2014! By bringing your passion and enthusiasm for WU, you helped make this year special. We're already gearing up for next year; Sept. 17-20, 2015!

Internship Story: Meet Gabi Rasmussen '15
As an intern at the American Red Cross National Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Gabi Rasmussen's future began to come into focus. "I learned so much about corporate communications and project management," says Rasmussen. "Not only was I able to help the Red Cross fulfill its mission - to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters - but I was able to grow professionally. Every week, interns met with top leaders in the organization to discuss professional development, personal marketing strategies and leadership styles."
Rasmussen now plans to pursue graduate studies in International Relations with a focus on humanitarian response. "Working with the Red Cross opened my eyes to the complexities of humanitarian relief and I'd like to continue in this line of service," she says.
Her road to success will be made easier with not only the experience she gained, but with the contacts she made. "I made so many connections with other interns and professionals through formal networking events and informational interviews."
