Register online today for Alumni Weekend 2014! ALL alumni - of every school and generation - are invited back to campus Sept. 12-14. A wide variety of activities and events ensures that there is a little something for everyone: inClass Sessions, Politics Symposium, winery tours, the Peace Corps Salute and much more. Basic registration for the Alumni Weekend Access Pass is just $5 (adults 21 and up), and you may pick and choose a variety of events to fit your weekend schedule. On June 14, the Graduate School of Education celebrated its final commencement ceremony, awarding 46 Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and six Master of Education (MEd) degrees to the Class of 2014. Oregon State Board of Education Vice-Chair Serilda Summers-McGee MBA'11 delivered an inspiring presentation on the future of education in Oregon to those in attendance. The GSE may have closed this year, but its 26-year legacy lives on through the more than 1,000 alumni it educated who are lifelong members of our strong Bearcat alumni family. The alumni of GSE also have their own representative on the WUAA Board of Directors in newly elected Steve Baxter MAT'13.

Only three spots remain for our student/alumni rafting and camping trip in White Salmon this weekend! If you haven't spent a weekend in the Great Outdoors yet this summer, now is your chance to join friends, fellow alumni and the student-led Outdoor Program for a half-day adrenaline rush through a picturesque canyon, along with a night under the stars. But you don't have to stay for the entire weekend. Come camp Saturday night, or come Sunday to tame the rapids, or join us for both! In the next month, current students, new families, incoming freshman and alumni will gather all along the West Coast to greet members of the Class of 2018 before they step foot on campus for the first time - and you can be part of the Bearcat welcome wagon! Join us in giving a warm reception to our new Bearcat family members by attending one of the WUAA's New Student Welcome Parties!
