wuaa board meeting Your Alumni Board held annual elections at its May meeting, appointing officers and new directors They are:

Officers: Adam DuVander '01, President; Sue (McAulay) Pyne '86, Vice President; Matt Benjamin '02, MBA'05, Secretary; and Linda (Walker) Kelly '69, Immediate Past President.

New Directors: Peggy (Ringler) Berglund '71, Jim Lottsfeldt '85, Nicole Trammel Pantera '03, JD'07, Barry Nelson '99 and Lopaka Purdy '05.

And we give our grateful thanks to directors who have completed their terms of service: Diane Babbitt '83, Bryn Berglund '01, and Susan Hale '01 MBA'06.

Alumni Weekend 2016 promo image A true celebration of our shared bonds as a collective Willamette family, Alumni Weekend gives alumni the rare chance to unite with Bearcats from across the generations, and provides opportunities for lifelong learning. Here are just a few of things on the schedule for this fall's event:
  • American Politics - Dive deep into current political affairs, including the 2016 presidential election with politics professor Melissa Buix Michaux.
  • Outdoor Program Reunion & Anniversary - Celebrate 10 years of Willamette's Outdoor Program with alumni.
  • The Evolution of Willamette - Hear public historian Dr. William Willingham '66 discuss how WU's campus went from a single building in a field to the beautiful setting we appreciate today.
  • Debate Union 160th Anniversary - Join fellow Debate Union alumni for a special gathering.
  • Bistro 30th Anniversary - Celebrate 30 years of the Bistro with a day of activities, including an alumni brunch and open mic night.
