Biography
Alexandra “Alex” Hutchinson graduated from Willamette University College of Law in 2020, earning both a JD and a certificate in law and business. She is currently an associate at McGaughey Erickson in Portland, focusing on partnership disputes, securities and FINRA litigation, and employment matters.
At Willamette, Alex was a BLI fellow, President of the Business Law Society, Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Symposium Editor for Willamette Law Review, Executive Editor for the Willamette Journal of International Law and Dispute Resolution, and a member of the Moot Court Board. Throughout law school, she clerked for a business litigation firm, a workers' compensation defense firm, the Willamette Business Law Clinic, and the Office of General Counsel for Boise State University.
Alex was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. Prior to law school, she received a B.S. in Economics and a minor in dance from Portland State University, then worked as a financial representative, obtaining her Series 6 and Series 63 licenses. She also completed a service teaching year through AmeriCorps, as a Math Fellow in Denver, Colorado. Outside of work, Alex is a lifelong ballet dancer and skier.
