Biography
Professor Breen joined the Willamette University College of Law faculty in 1976 as director of the Law Library. His prior experience included military service in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska; private practice with the law firm of Tesreau & Gardner in Lebanon, New Hampshire; and academic service as Assistant Dean and subsequently Associate Law Librarian at the University of Maine School of Law. He served as a draftsman for the incorporation of The Research Institute of the Gulf of Maine.
During his tenure at Willamette he has served on the Oregon Supreme Court Library Advisory Committee, as a Legal Specialist to Albania for the ABA Central & East European Law Initiative and as a draftsman for the formation of the Hatfield Library Consortium. He has been a recipient of the College of Law Martin Luther King, Jr. award.
Professor Breen is a member of the Maine and New Hampshire Federal and State Bars and is an American Association of Law Libraries certified law librarian.
