Biography
Athena Scruton Lathos has worked in a variety of capacities in higher education, including as an instructor of English Composition at Oregon State University's School of Writing, Literature, and Film, a Research Interviewer at Portland State University's Regional Research Institute, a Library Reference Assistant at Linn-Benton Community College, and a Student Accessibility Services Technician at Chemeketa Community College.
Scruton Lathos cares deeply about the value of higher education. She particularly enjoys helping prospective students achieve their academic and professional goals and advocating for the high-quality teaching and research of the College of Law faculty.
Outside of WUCL, Scruton Lathos writes creative nonfiction and volunteers with hospice patients and homeless individuals living in Oregon's Willamette Valley. She loves travel, good food, and art in all its forms.
