Leah Straley is the Assistant Dean of Admissions at Willamette University College of Law. She joined Willamette Law in 2018.
Straley works with JD, LLM, and MLS students from inquiry to matriculation, helping to guide students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in law. Straley also focuses on the development and implementation of recruitment initiatives aimed at achieving enrollment and revenue goals.
Prior to joining Willamette, Straley was the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Outreach at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA, where she was involved with student recruitment, application evaluation, event organization, and marketing. Before venturing into higher education, Straley worked as a Patient Advocate, protecting and furthering the Constitutional and statutory rights of people receiving mental health services.
Straley received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Smith College in Northampton, MA, her MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Los Angeles, CA, and her JD from Albany Law School in Albany, NY.
Outside of work, Straley loves exploring State Parks and the coast of Oregon with her wife, Brenda and their son Ezra.
