Application Process - U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents

U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents may apply for the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and the Federal Direct Graduate Plus Loan. Willamette University financial aid personnel and the Willamette MBA admission staff are available to help you with your questions. Contact the financial aid office at or call 877-542-2787. Step 1

Complete the FAFSA online. Submit the FAFSA to Willamette University at code number 003227.

Step 2

Complete the application process for admission and be selected for admission to the Willamette University MBA program. (Note: steps 1 and 2 can be completed in either order)

Step 3

You will receive an award letter from the Willamette Financial Aid Office within three to four weeks after you have completed steps 1 and 2.

Step 4

When you receive your financial aid award letter, accept the offer by marking the type and amount of aid you are accepting. Return your signed Award Acceptance Form and all other documents requested by the Willamette Office of Financial Aid to the Financial Aid Office.

Step 5

Once your financial aid file is complete, the Willamette Office of Financial Aid will electronically process your loans.

Step 6

Complete your Master Promissory Note(s). The MPN process can be completed online. You will need your federal PIN to electronically sign your MPN. This is the same PIN you used to sign your FAFSA. More information about the PIN is available online.

Step 7

Complete the Loan Entrance Counseling Session  online.
