Biography
Maralynn Maltz joined the Willamette MBA program in 2010 and retired in
October of 2022. During her years at the Atkinson School, she served as a
career-services professional, a faculty supervisor for MBA students
enrolled in the Internships for Management course, mentored and guided
students, and built relationships with employers for internships and job
opportunities for our students.
In addition to her activities with students and employers, Maralynn created
and continuously improved the data and the data collection processes needed
to asses student performance for Assurance of Learning (AOL) accreditation
reviews and for administrative and faculty reporting.
Before coming to Willamette Maralynn had more than three decades of
experience in leadership, training, public relations, marketing, and
research. She worked in the banking, non-profit and education industries in
both Oregon and California. At Wells Fargo Bank, she worked with the
corporate banking unit’s Fortune 500 clients in customer relationship
management and lending. She also served as a manager for operations
employees at multiple bank branches and conducted marketing for retail
banking and small business banking groups.
Her non-profit work included roles as Director of Business Development,
Community Education, and Development for VNA Care (a nurses’ association in
California); a Project Manager, opening new exhibits for A.C. Gilbert’s
Discovery Village in Salem, Oregon; and a Program Director for Camp Fire
Los Angeles.
One of Maralynn’s passions is early childhood literacy and she has
volunteered and worked for several years in public, private, and
pre-schools tutoring children in reading.
Maralynn also runs her own small business as an independent artist.
