Biography
Donna Haole Valenzuela was born and raised on the island of Oahu; has been married for 42 years, has two children and four dogs.
Prior to joining state government, Donna worked in the travel industry in various roles, primarily in finance, and as owner of Raines Globe Travel in downtown Salem.
Donna began her 23+year career in budget and policy with the Department of Administrative Services as a Fiscal Analyst 1, and continued to move around to, Department of Corrections, Department of Human Services|Oregon Health Authority; Higher Education Coordinating Commission and Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs. The last two agencies serving as the Chief Financial Officer. While at the Department of Administrative Services, Donna earned her Certificate of Public Management in 2009 and applied to the Atkinson School of Management, earning her MBA in 2013.
In her spare time Donna and her husband hikes with their dogs, enjoys movie nights, attend multiple choir concerts and enjoys spending time with her family.
