Our MBA for Professionals Program

Develop your leadership skills and expand your career prospects with Willamette’s MBA for Professionals. Our flexible hybrid program allows you to tackle real management challenges from day one and apply what you learn in class to your professional work. Each semester, our classes meet once a week in Salem or Portland, once a week online, and in person on three Saturdays. This allows you to gain the knowledge, skills, and network needed to advance your career while continuing to work full-time.

MBA for Professionals Program Schedule

The MBAP schedule: Showing one class per week for each of the 14 weeks on Tuesdays (Salem), Wednesdays (Portland) and Thursdays (excluding weeks 1 and 8 for the Tues/Wed class). Saturday classes are on weeks 1, 8 and 14.

Curriculum

We designed our part-time MBA for professionals who are ready to move up. Our integrated curriculum pairs two complementary courses each term so you can connect ideas across business functions and apply what you learn right away. By linking topics like marketing and finance, strategy and data, and operations and analytics, you’ll build a well-rounded leadership skill set that matches how real decisions get made at work.

  • GSMPR 622 Data Analysis, Modeling and Decision Making

    Taking real world examples from finance, accounting, marketing, production, and human resource management, we will use statistical tools and methods to improve decision making in uncertain environments. Students learn to transform data into managerial insight and actionable information by applying statistical processes and models. Course concepts will be implemented and supported by spreadsheets, statistical software, and direct application to a team project.

  • GSMPR 624 Managing Organizations: Individuals, Teams, and Human Resources

    Learn to manage individuals, teams, and organizational change within complex, global environments. This course builds practical skills in analyzing behavior, improving decision-making, and leading ethically across sectors. Through real-world cases and collaborative exercises, you’ll gain tools to increase organizational effectiveness and drive meaningful results.

Program Requirements

Our program requires 48 credit hours to complete the degree. Most students complete the part-time degree program within 2 years, but it may take more or less time depending on your needs and your schedule.

Admissions Information

Our MBA for Professionals program is designed for working professionals with at least 3 years of work experience. International students may be eligible for admission if they hold an employment-related visa.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

We’ve reduced our tuition to $36,000 per year, and all admitted students are automatically considered for scholarship awards. Employees of our preferred partner organizations may also be eligible for additional tuition discounts.
