The University-wide Title IX Advisory Committee meets to ensure campus wide coordination of Title IX compliance and best practice efforts to prevent and respond to Title IX matters. The committee chair is the Willamette University Title IX Coordinator. Membership includes Title IX Deputies (student and employee), Director of Bishop Wellness, Director of Campus Safety, Director of Res Life, Athletic Directory, and General Counsel, as needed. In addition, the Committee includes two faculty members and one to two student representatives, appointed by ASWU. The Coordinating committee discusses proposed policy, prevention and response efforts, as well as the implementation of the President’s Working Group on Sexual Assault and Harassment recommendations. The committee regularly reviews data, training materials, and best practices regarding Title IX compliance.

The University-wide Trans* Advocacy Committee works to support and advocate for trans*, non-binary, and gender non-conforming students, faculty, and staff on campus. The Trans* Advocacy Committee is comprised of students, staff, and faculty who take an active role and share in the responsibility of addressing trans* inclusion in all aspects of campus life. Charges include providing advice on best practices and strategies for trans* inclusion, supporting education for the campus community, and considering structural and policy changes that promote equity. The committee chair is the Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and membership includes a representative from Bishop, a CAS faculty rep, a student rep from Rainbow Alliance and OUTlaws, an Athletic representative, and ASWU reps in addition to other interested community members.
