Biography
I’ve wanted to learn about Japanese language and culture for a long time, as I was not raised with the language despite having many family members who did speak Japanese. Having the opportunity to learn about the language and history in-depth at Willamette was extremely exciting, and I learned a lot, particularly during my study abroad experience in Kawagoe where I was able to stay with a wonderful host family. While I don’t have any long-term plans for the future, I am planning to apply for JET or AEON and teach English, and ultimately go to a job involving that can help build Japanese-America relations.
