Biography
I chose to become a Japanese Studies major so that I could learn more about my ancestry. I am fifth generation, so the Japanese language has been lost in my family, but we have always had Japanese traditions and holidays. I studied abroad in Japan over the summer via the LUCE program. I got to learn about sustainability practices in Japan. It was an amazing experience and it really inspired me to double major.
I hope to do the year long JSP program during my junior year. I really hope that during my time studying abroad in Japan, I can find a career path I am passionate about, that utilizes both of my majors.
