Biography
Jaimie Hall is excited to be teaching trumpet at Willamette University. He is currently the band director at Straub Middle School in Salem. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Northridge and a Master of Arts in Music Education from California State University, Los Angeles. Jaimie is a trained GR mouthpiece consultant.
Jaimie is in his 30th year of teaching trumpet, and his 29th year of teaching band. Jaimie runs a large private trumpet studio. His trumpet students have enjoyed great success in his twenty-nine years of teaching. Student accolades include first-place awards in the high-school and middle-school divisions of the National Trumpet Competition, first-place and second-place awards at the International Trumpet Guild Competition, fifteen placings and three winners of the OSAA State Solo Contest, and innumerable placements and principals in the OSAA All-State and NAfME All-Northwest Honor Bands. His bands at Straub Middle School have consistently received Superior ratings at the festivals they have attended since the school was opened in 2011.
Jaimie resides in Salem with his wife Reitha.
