Carson Keeble is an active performer and educator living in Oregon and working throughout the United States. His recent orchestral engagements include performing with The Santa Fe Opera, Seattle Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Oregon Symphony. Prior to moving to Oregon Carson held membership in the Colorado Symphony (2011-12), the Louisiana Philharmonic (2006-11), and the New Mexico Symphony (2004-06). As a soloist and chamber musician, he enjoys performing works old and new and has premiered multiple new compositions in recent months. Carson is a regular guest with Albuquerque’s Ensemble Music New Mexico and Figueroa Project. In the past he held membership in the Apollo Chamber Brass based in Colorado and the New Orleans Uptown Brass Quintet.

Prior to joining the faculty at Willamette University, Carson held teaching positions at University of Colorado at Denver, Tulane University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Oklahoma State University. He’s been invited as a guest clinician and soloist at many universities including University of Oregon, University of New Mexico, Denver University, and University of Southern Mississippi. Carson received a Master’s degree in music from Rice University and a Bachelor’s degree in music from the Oberlin Conservatory. His teachers included Raymond Premru, James DeSano, Steven Witser, Milton Stevens, and David Waters.
