Biography
Alexis Jagelski has lived throughout the western part of the U.S., with much time spent in Wyoming and Oregon. She graduated from the University of Portland in 2011 with a Spanish major and history minor. Prior to her graduation, Jagelski spent a semester abroad in Granada, Spain. She later went on to obtain her master’s degree in secondary education at Black Hills State University. Jagelski has spent the past eight years in the Spanish classroom with K-12 students in Kansas and Wyoming.
As a graduate from a liberal arts college, she understands the benefits of a small university setting and encourages students to take advantage of the access and proximity to professors and school faculty. After living in Ecuador and Spain, and traveling to other countries, Jagelski is a strong proponent of immersion programs to better understand the language and broad cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
