Raja Benz (she/her) is a transgender, Filipina-American theatre-maker, intimacy professional, and cultural theorist currently based in Richmond, Virginia. Raja is an Assistant Faculty Member with Theatrical Intimacy Education, and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, Raja holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Northern Illinois University. In 2014, Raja received a certificate in Acting from the Moscow Art Theatre School where she played the titular role in Ivanov. Raja works regularly as an intimacy professional and has been involved with theatres including Signature Theatre (Daphne's Dive) and Tectonic Theatre Project (Seven Deadly Sins). Full-time Raja serves as the Director of Community, Engagement, and Outreach at the Richmond Triangle Players.
