Biography
Guest Choreographer, Future Voices dance concert • Fall 2018
Originally from Seattle, WA, Genevieve is a color guard director and freelance dance choreographer in the Portland area. Genevieve began her performing arts career at Kamiak High School, and since graduating has been a member of numerous organizations in the area, including the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, OC Indoor, and OC Independent. She then moved on to perform with the Phantom Regiment for four years, until aging out in 2016.
In addition to receiving a Bachelor’s degree in French, Genevieve studied dance and movement extensively at Willamette University. During her semester abroad, she had the unique opportunity of studying Martha Graham technique at the Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris, France. Genevieve has worked with multiple high school programs in the Northwest, and is currently the director and designer at Skyview High School. During her spare time she enjoys going on hikes, exploring new restaurants with her friends, and snuggling up to her cat.
