Sharath holds a BFA from Ohio University and he earned his MFA in Sound Design from the Yale School of Drama. Binding won the 2010 Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance Art Production in New York City. The Brother/Sister Plays and Oedipus el Rey both won the 2012 Drammy Award for Outstanding Production.
