Teri Vore, recently took the position of Program Director, where she joined the Topf Center for Dance Education in Boston in December 2006. Teri began teaching in educational outreach programs while living in Los Angeles. Working as the Program Coordinator for California Institute of the Arts’ Community Arts Partnership (CAP) program, she served as both teacher and administrator. While working with the CAP program, Teri taught at Belmont High School as an artist-in-residence, and at Plaza de la Raza, a performing arts center. Both entities served inner-city students and at-risk youth. Most recently, she served as artist/mentor for Shakespeare Festival/LA Will Power to Youth Program. She has also taught master classes throughout the Los Angeles area schools as a visiting artist. 

Also a performing artist and choreographer, Teri has worked with several theatre companies in Los Angeles, serving as both choreographer and movement coach. She was resident choreographer for Ensemble Theatre of Santa Barbara’s Storybook Theatre.

Having enjoyed the diversity of working in both theatre and concert dance settings, Teri Vore’s projects have included three seasons as resident choreographer for Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara’s Storybook Theatre productions of The Ugly Duckling, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Hansel and Gretel. She has also served as movement coach for the Los Angeles-based Lone Star Theatre Company’s production of Venus and Adonis and for the West Coast-based Corridor Theatre Collective’s production of Lessons in a Dead Language.

Teri Vore’s more recent concert dance work includes Higher Ground for The Actor’s Gang; Charitas, a contemporary opera, and the evening length piece True Fiction, which premiered in both Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea at World Dance 2000. She also choreographed AtivCaAvoRa, a new evening length work, for her company ION DANCE COLLECTIVE.

A native Californian, Teri studied Dance at California Institute of the Arts, where she earned both a BFA and MFA in Dance..
