- Bearcat Bash - This is THE BIG CELEBRATION of the weekend! Kick off your evening with appetizers, and libations in the good company of fellow alumni, faculty and students.
- Quadfest All-American Lunch - Join fellow alumni and students for a family-friendly and patriotic All-American BBQ lunch on the Quad with music.

Summer Events Recap
This summer, with the help of its gracious regional chapter leaders and volunteers, the Alumni Association has hosted 16 events across the country. These have included alumni volunteer efforts in Portland and Washington, DC; fun gatherings at sporting events in Oakland and Seattle; happy hour get-togethers in New York City and on Nike's campus in Beaverton, Oregon; and a special reception put on by the Willamette Valley Chapter to welcome the Class of 2016 to the WUAA.
A Couple Recent Highlights:
In June, Robin Brena JD/MBA'83 and his wife Barbara hosted a lovely and very well-attended reception at their beautiful home in Anchorage, Alaska to celebrate the season and the bonds we share as alumni. Along with amazing food and great conversation, alumni had the opportunity to meet President Steve Thorsett and Curtis Bridgeman, Dean of Willamette College of Law.
In July, a group of adventurous alumni joined Professor David Craig in rafting the wild Rogue River in Southern Oregon (see photo above). They had an absolute blast together, spending three exhilarating days on the water and two relaxing nights in wilderness lodges.
Thank You!
We'd like to give a big THANK YOU to all our alumni hosts, volunteers, leaders, and attendees. Thank you for sharing just a little bit of your summer with your fellow Bearcats.
Do you know of an outstanding alumna/us who is doing great things? Nominate a Bearcat for the 2017 Alumni Awards in three categories. The deadline for the 2017 awards cycle is Oct. 16, 2016.
Don't forget, you can meet the 2016 Alumni Awards recipients at Alumni Weekend this fall!
While our Bearcat community uses Willamette's Switchboard in a variety of ways to connect with fellow alumni and current students, the tool is especially useful for finding out about job opportunities! Looking for work this summer? Here are a few of the job posts put up recently:
