Eleven Willamette faculty members have been named Oregon Professor of the Year. All after the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Higher Education named the first Oregon professor in 1989.
This award recognizes outstanding undergraduate instructors who excel in teaching and positively influence the lives and careers of students. With nearly half of Oregon's award-winners, Willamette’s faculty has earned more Professor of the Year honors than any other West Coast university. The Carnegie Foundation discontinued the award in 2015.
