Willamette University College of Law
At Willamette Law, we produce the best legal dealmakers, problem solvers, community leaders, and change-makers in one of the most innovative and exciting regions of the country. Building on our rich history, we’ve developed one of the nation’s most forward-thinking programs of legal education, with curricular strengths in public service, social justice, health law, business law and transactional practice, and advocacy skills.
The ideal place to study law
Located in Salem, adjacent to the state Capitol of Oregon, the College of Law sits in the center of state government, law, and business. Our geographic proximity allows us to leverage relationships with nearby state agencies, lobbyists and advocacy organizations, and a healthy collection of regional offices for large law firms, medium and small law firms, and solo practitioners.
Salem is also in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, a region renowned for its organic farms and vineyards. Downtown Salem is home to numerous restaurants, coffeehouses, festivals, concerts, shopping, and parks. Salem’s backyard boasts biking trails, rolling green hills, waterfalls, old-growth forests, wetlands and beautiful views. The College is also ideally situated within an hour’s drive of Portland and the nearest beach.
